Lilly at 18 Months

Oh sweet little Lilly, how fun it is to watch her grow! If you've followed our blog for a while, you'll probably recognize the cuteness that is Lilly. We've photographed her journey to the grand old of age of 18 months starting way back when she was just three months old, then again at six months, and when she turned one. My how she has grown! Last week we met the family at their Clinton home for another fun playful session with this charming little lady.

We started off by playing in her toy house.

Isn't she pretty?

"Accio... teddy bear!" Sorry... I've read too many Harry Potter books.

TickleFight!

The kid is a natural. I didn't even have a chance to pose her this way. She just put that little hand on the wagon, keys in the other, and struck a pose.

I don't know what's so funny. Chris always wears hats like that.

You'd make this face too if you were less than a foot from a bubble machine.

I absolutely adore these next three.

A beauty...

and a cutie!

"Get your motor runnin'..."

You look mahvelous darling!

Thanks to Lilly's mom and pop for letting us be the family documentarian! :)

Coming soon: Gee, I really don't know. I've got some new photos of our girls to share if I can ever find the time to edit them. I'm working on a bazillion wedding albums right now, and this coming weekend we have another wedding at Central Baptist Church of Bearden. So who knows what will end up next? We'll all just have to wait and be surprised!

Raven+Jeff: The Wedding 07.11.09

As promised, this week is the continuation of Jeff and Raven's wedding. The two tied the knot at Christ United Methodist Church in Knoxville and then partied down at the Crowne Plaza in downtown K-town. Jeff and Raven are a pretty fun couple and we always have a good time hanging out with them (don't believe me? Check out their fun engagement photos at Dollywood here). They had a great ceremony complete with Communion with Goldfish crackers and some great music by a cool local by the name of Adam Whipple (Danielle liked him so much she bought a CD from him at the reception... she doesn't realize that we're supposed to make money at weddings, not spend it! ;) ).

Last week we teased you so now enjoy the rest of the best...

We all got to the church to find it still locked, so Raven passed the time by chasing her veil.

Cool shoe photo by my awesome wife.

That's So Raven (come on... you know I've been waiting for months to say that. And if you don't get it, you'd don't have kids that watch the Disney Channel).

Movie star!

I coined a new term that day every time Raven struck a cool pose... "Ravenista!"

And not to leave the man Jeff out.

I like this little "in-between" moment by Danielle. He was probably laughing because I couldn't get up off the ground or something.

Grandma gives Hope Photography "two thumbs up!" :)

Baylee, the flowergirl, just chilling after the ceremony.

The cute couple.

This photo bites. (Sorry, that was bad).

Columns.

Ah golden sun flare, how I love thee.

Dinner on a stage.

Some ring details.

Cake Wars!

A little dancing with sister Robin.

Who also snagged the bouquet.

A little quiet moment together as the reception wound down.

Followed by some "Thriller!"

The latest earbuds for the iPod. Get it? Buds? Flowers? Geez, my puns are pathetic tonight.

A little Crowne Plaza driveway glow.

Thanks again Raven and Jeff! We hope you had a wonderful honeymoon!

Raven+Jeff: Wedding Teaser

Prepare to be teased! Last weekend we photographed Raven and Jeff's wedding in north Knoxville. The to-do list is a little backed up right now so, to keep the newlyweds and you from waiting another week and a half before you get to see the full post of favorites from their big day, I present a few photos that stand out after my initial edit.

Enjoy the show!

No bridal gowns were harmed in the making of this photo.

The little flowergirl had on some cool Chuck Taylor Converse that matched the colors.

A little happy accident while I was test shooting. But I like the dappled light.

Danielle with her alternative angles getting a cool photo of Jeff.

A special smile during Communion.

Beautiful light for a beautiful couple.

Ravenglow.

Score another one for Danielle (she pays me a nickel every time I point out one of her photos).

Jeff and Raven did a little switcheroo on their guests and rocked the reception by interrupting their first dance with some sweet moves to a compilation of greatest hits.

Danielle caught a great look on the flowergirl's face when her daddy was cutting her cake. Methinks she wanted the whole piece.

What's a wedding without kazoos?

Well I hope that was enough to whet your appetite. Stay tuned for more photos next week!

Congratulations Bridges Family!

It's official... all of my close photo friends now have two kids. The race is on to see which one of while get to number three first. (Danielle will smack me when she reads that).

Our good friends, the Bridges, welcomed their second son into the world on July 5th. It took them a little while to come up with a name for the little guy, but they finally chose Ty. Short and sweet. Back when Amelia was born last year (*gulp!*) Steven did us a favor by photographing Maddie waiting on her big sister (see the link here). So it was my turn to do the same. Mostly. Steven's wife Erika delivered via c-section, so I couldn't photograph big brother Silas waiting, but I was there when Silas got to see little Ty for the first time. It was an honor to hang out with this new family of four.

And here are a few of my favorites from Ty's first day.

Mommy and daddy with their new baby boy.

I wonder if that's like the little dye-packs at fancy department stores. If someone tries to leave with the baby will they be showered with blue ink?

The modern mom texting family and friends from the hospital.

And Steven couldn't help but shoot a few too.

Tiny fingers.

And a big yawn.

Mommy's kiss.

Silas was a little trepidatious about meeting his little brother. They think seeing Erika in the hospital surrounded by all the equipment was a little too much for him. But he did give mommy a kiss when he got to the hospital.

Steven got him warmed up by letting him play photographer.

And take photos of his new brother.

And of daddy.

And me!

Father and son, part one.

A few minutes later, it was an all out shoot-fest. Silas photographing Erika, Erika photographing Silas, Steven photographing friend Jess holding Ty, while Silas shoots Erika and vice versa. And me photographing the whole scene. :)

Awwww, how sweet.

Erika kept playing with Ty's little hair.

Chicken balloons!

Steven on the phone again.

Sleepy little dude.

I just love the feel and flow of these next two...

A nurse came in to do a check-up and Ty was none too happy.

The Bridges' good friend Joe Howell (Joe's a former News-Sentinel staffer, hence the camera) stopped by in time for the check-up.

Ladies and gentleman, Ty Owen Bridges.

Father and son, part two.

Little Ty started sucking his thumb in his sleep while Joe held him.

Congratulations to Steven, Erika, and Silas! And congrats to baby Ty... he was born into one great family. :)
